The short version: My Year Tree does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything you create in the app — your photos, your written moments, your locations — stays exclusively on your own device.
Welcome to My Year Tree (“the App”), developed by Dr. Leber Reinhard (“we,” “us,” “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it.
For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the data controller responsible for My Year Tree is:
None. My Year Tree has no account system, no login, no cloud backend, and no server of any kind. There is nothing for us to collect, because nothing you enter into the App ever leaves your device unless you personally choose to share or export it.

All content you add to My Year Tree — photos, text, and locations — is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. This data:
Because your data lives only on your device, its security depends on the security of your device (e.g. your device passcode and encryption). We recommend keeping your device’s operating system up to date.
My Year Tree requests access to your photo library so that you can select photos to attach to your monthly moments. This access is used only to let you pick and display images within the App. Photos you select are copied into the App’s local storage on your device and are not transmitted to us or anyone else.
My Year Tree includes optional features that let you choose to share or export your own data:
In all cases, sharing and exporting are actions you initiate yourself. We do not automatically transmit your data anywhere.
My Year Tree offers an optional one-time Premium purchase ($4.99) that unlocks additional features. This purchase is processed entirely by Google Play Billing or Apple’s In-App Purchase system, depending on your device. We do not receive, see, or store your payment details — this information is handled solely by Google or Apple in accordance with their own privacy policies.
My Year Tree does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only third parties involved in the App’s operation are Google Play and the Apple App Store, solely to process the optional Premium purchase described above.
My Year Tree does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13, because the App does not collect personal information from any user at all.
Because My Year Tree does not collect or process any personal data, most data-subject rights under the GDPR (such as the right to access, rectify, or erase data we hold about you) do not practically apply, as we hold no such data. For transparency, you generally have the right to:
Since all of your content is stored solely on your own device, you always have full and immediate control: you can delete individual moments, export your data, or uninstall the App at any time to permanently remove all data from your device.
We do not retain any of your data because we never receive it. Content stored locally on your device remains there until you delete it yourself or uninstall the App.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
